PURPOSE
The “Young Driver Seminar Program” is targeted to address the key risk factors for those in the 14-16 year age group who are just starting to drive. The essence of this seminar focuses on real life experiences and the consequences of making the wrong decisions while driving. This includes how insurance costs for young drivers are affected by decisions made by the teenagers themselves as well as those made by parents on their behalf.
EFFORT & INVOLVEMENT
The agent / agency is the initiator for this event. The support materials provided for this program provide a step by step guide and resources to assist in the following:
• Locating the facility for the event
• Identifying potential co-sponsors (including insurance carriers)
• Arranging for speakers and presentations
• Making preparations in advance of the event
• Promoting the event to young drivers, their parents and others
• Organizing the day of the event
• Emceeing the event
• Presenting insurance topics
• Follow-up after the event
RESULTS
Organizing a “Young Driver Seminar” can be a great way to “give back” to your community; showing everyone that yours is an agency that truly serves to help protect the safety and financial well-being of your clients & customers - and their families.
Since the “Young Driver Seminar” is a community event, the results an agency can expect to receive from conducting it extend beyond an agency’s own clients to the community at large.
First, you are helping the teenagers and parents who are directly involved in the actual event. When you follow-up, you’ll be able to reinforce the message you care and are able to personally help customers with their insurance needs.
You can extend this message to reach all of your agency’s insureds – both personal and commercial lines clients.
And you can further extend this message to develop favorable recognition for your agency within the entire community.
